Amagov made his professional MMA debut in November 2007 in his native Russia. He lost his debut bout via submission, but has since amassed a record of 9-1-1 with most of his fights taking place in the ProFC promotion.
Amagov drew considerable attention in 2010 when a video of his spinning hook kick knock out of Maskhat Akhmetov became popular on several MMA message boards and news sites.[2][3]
Adlan Amagov is currently managed by Sam Kardan of KDojo MMA and Mike Constantino. He trains at KDojo MMA under Murat Keshtov.
Adlan Amagov recently signed with Zuffa and made his U.S. debut at Strikeforce Challengers: Bowling vs. Voelker III against Ronald Stallings.[4] Amagov won the fight via split decision.
Amagov was successful in his second bout for Strikeforce as he defeated Anthony Smith via KO in the first round at Strikeforce Challengers: Britt vs. Sayers.
Following his two Challengers wins, Amagov will make his debut on a main card at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine on January 7, 2012. He is expected to face Robbie Lawler in the co-main event.[5]
